Come along to the next Court House Tour with Unlocking Warwick volunteers on Saturday 5th August at 11am.

These free 45-minute tours tell of the building of architect Francis Smith’s Court House at the central crossroads after the Great Fire of Warwick, and they serve as a brief introduction to the county town’s rich history.

Note there are no courts in the old Court House! The magistrates’ courts moved to Leamington nearly 40 years ago. The building is now the Town Hall and Visitor Information Centre, with the Warwickshire Yeomanry Museum in the basement and a restored Regency Ballroom on the first floor available for functions.

Numbers on the Court House Tours have to be limited for practical and safety reasons. So it is a case of first come first served. Meet at 11am in Pageant Gardens just behind the visitor centre in Castle Street. If the weather is bad, ring the Information centre on 01926 492212 to check that the tour is going ahead.

The tour after this one will be on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28th.
