2016 Christmas Regency Ball a success

Saturday 10th December once again saw the wonderful Ballroom at the Court House decorated in period style and full of people eager to re-enact the Regency Balls of earlier times. With a local group of period music experts, Mr Sayers Players, and an experienced Dance Director, Mr Stephen Pascoe, dancers were guided through a range of dances.

In the interval, guests were treated to delicious canapes, a reading which explained what such occasions were like in the late 18th and early 19th centuries and a beautiful rendition of the traditional song, “Alan Adair”, from Warwick’s own mezzo soprano, Imogen Parker.
