A Musical Christmas in the Ballroom

The final social gathering of the year, ‘In The Ballroom”, on December 14th, was a Christmas Celebration, with a programme of seasonal songs, carols and readings, presented by Trevor Langley and the Singalong Choir.

The audience certainly did sing along to tunes such as Little Drummer Boy, It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year and The Twelve Days of Christmas, and enjoyed a festive tea supplied by the volunteers. 

Then there was a Christmas-themed quiz devised by Helen Fellows. 

The event had been sold out for weeks, showing how much this traditional December entertainment is enjoyed each year. And the guests certainly appreciated the afternoon. “Lovely.” “Thoroughly enjoyable”. “Thank you”. Here are some pictures taken by Gina, Alan and Gill. 

‘In The Ballroom’ on the second Wednesday of the month will take a short break in the dark and dismal weather of January and February, but will return in March for a full programme of interesting speakers for the rest of the year.
