Warwick Words – The History Fair

The Warwick Words History Fair in the Court House ballroom on Saturday 5th October proved to be very popular, with a lot of interest in Unlocking Warwick’s display stand.

Thirteen community and heritage groups from the Warwick district were showcasing their activities, and perhaps hoping to recruit some more volunteers.

Visitors to the Unlocking Warwick stand picked up leaflets about the popular monthly social “In The Ballroom’ which happens from 2pm to 4pm on the second Wednesday of each month. The programme of speakers and activities for 2020 has just been published, with a wide variety of interesting talks in prospect.

There was also a lot of interest in Unlocking Warwick’s long-term calendar of local events, “What’s On in Warwick – at a Glance” with visitors noting down the address of this website where it can be found on the Home Page, and is updated each month.

The Warwick Words History Fair took place on the final weekend of the main Festival, but Warwick Words will continue from 15th October to 23rd November with some “History Extra Events’ and ‘Tea Time Talks’. See the Warwick Words website for full details. Tickets can be bought at the Visitor Information Centre Box Office in the Jury Street Court House.
