A super end-of-year In The Ballroom

“It was a super afternoon”. “We enjoyed it so much”. “Thank you all so much for a lovely event”. As they left after our final social gathering of the year, ‘In The Ballroom’ on December 13th, the guests were full of praise for our Christmas special.

On a cold and grey afternoon, they had been treated to a warming sherry on arrival. Then Trevor Langley and his musically-talented colleague Don, had presented a selection of carols and popular Christmas songs, with the words on a big screen, and successfully encouraged everyone to join in.

He had also devised some games linked to the songs which kept everyone on their toes. Then the volunteers served mince pies, stollen slices and chockie bikkies with tea or coffee. Helen’s picture-quiz had a Christmas theme, with a box of chox to the winners. Here are a few pictures from the afternoon:
