A Tour and Horticulture on August 25th
Come along to the Court House Tour with Unlocking Warwick on Saturday 25th August, and afterwards you can enjoy looking around the Warwick Horticultural and Allotment Society Annual Show.
The exhibits will be on display in the Ballroom and the Pageant Gardens behind the Jury Street Court House. There are 76 classes which include, apart from the obvious, (veg, fruit and flowers), handicrafts, paintings, & photographs. There will be 34 cups & trophies up for grabs including the prestigious RHS Banksian Medal & Certificate awarded to the most prolific points winner on judgement day.
The Court House Tour will start at 11am and lasts about 45 minutes as volunteers tell of the history of the grade-1 listed Court House/Town Hall and introduce visitors to the rich history of Warwick since its foundation more than 1100 years ago.
The tour is free to attend. Numbers have to be limited, so first come – first on the tour. Meet in the Visitor Information Centre. If you want to visit the Horticultural Show afterwards, entry is £2 (WHAS members free).
