A Tour with Paula
Paula Fletcher has recently joined our volunteer group, and on Saturday 19th August conducted her first Court House Tour for Unlocking Warwick.
We are fortunate to have Paula (at least for half the year – she lives in Miami during the winter months). She is extremely knowledgable about Warwick’s history and runs her own business offering 90-minute tours for parties of visitors or individuals. www.historicwarwickwalks.com/about.php
The Unlocking Warwick Court House Tours last 45 minutes and are free to attend. They tell of the buildings that have occupied the site of the Court House and Town Hall at the central cross roads, the construction of the present building by architect Francis Smith in 1725, and introduce visitors to the rich history of the county town.
The next Court House Tour will be at 11am on Bank Holiday Monday, 28th August, starting in Pageant Gardens at the back of the Visitor Information Centre at the Jury Street/Castle Street junction.
