Afternoon tea in the Ballroom
On Thursday October 13th, local people gathered in the Regency ballroom at the Jury Street Court House to meet new people, chat and have a cup of tea.
It was the first of a monthly series of informal get-togethers called ‘In the Ballroom’, organised by Warwick Town Council and the Unlocking Warwick volunteers.
There was a picture quiz to test people’s knowledge of famous buildings around the world, and plenty of conversations about Warwick in the old days, including the ballroom dances held in that room in the fifties and sixties.
The ballroom is now fully restored and is available for hire for meetings, dinners and other functions.
The next gathering ‘In the Ballroom’ will be on Thursday 10th November from 2.30 to 4pm so please spread the word.
