Regretfully The Town Council’s volunteers have had to call off their community events for the foreseeable future because of the Covid-19 coronavirus epidemic.
The government advice is for everyone to reduce social contacts to a minimum, especially those involving the over-70s and vulnerable groups, who will be asked to stay at home.
So our ‘In The Ballroom’ social afternoons, the Tea and Dance Lessons, and our Court House Tours are all called off until further notice. The ‘Jazz Age’ 1920s evening planned for May 2nd is being postponed; we hope to reschedule it when life returns to something like normal – whenever that might be!
We are sorry to disappoint residents and visitors who enjoy our events, and we hope everyone will take extra care and stay clear of the virus.
