Annual Social Indoors for First Time

Unlocking Warwick’s Summer Social was held indoors at The Unitarian Chapel, instead of in its pretty garden, for the first time because of rain.

But it was a very enjoyable gathering with the volunteers joined by some newly elected Town and District Councillors and representatives of local military museums. Networking with other heritage organisations in the town has become one of Unlocking Warwick’s roles.

Volunteers provided a splendid buffet, organised once again by Helen, and a selection of drinks made sure the conversation flowed.

Next year will be the 10th anniversary of the reopening of the Old Court House/Town Hall after a major refurbishment, when the Unlocking Warwick volunteer group began its community engagement activities. So perhaps the social next year will be more of a tenth birthday celebration.
