Beetledrive 1st Feb

A reminder that the February meeting of the informal social group ‘In the Ballroom’, on Thursday 1st,  will see a return of the popular beetledrive.

Everyone loves a game of beetle. If you haven’t played it before – well – what have you been doing?  It’s a race involving dice. Each table is a team.

You must throw a six first – a 6 gives you the beetle’s body. Then you can start adding the head (5), tail (4), legs (3) feelers (2) and eyes (1). The first person to get a complete beetle shouts – guess what? – ‘Beetle!’.

Then according to the rules some players switch tables to make sure that were all meet new people, before a nice tea-or-coffee break with cake provided by the Unlocking Warwick volunteers.

‘In the Ballroom’ takes place on the first Thursday of every month from 2pm to 4pm in the ballroom on the first floor of the Jury Street Court House, just above the Visitor Information Centre. There’s no need to book; just turn up; but it will cost you the princely sum of £2 to cover the cost of the refreshments.

Draw your beetle as you like
