Tour volunteers will try to answer your questions about the history of Warwick

The final Court House Tour of this season is coming up on Saturday 23rd September. So if you would like to hear about the story of the Grade II listed building at the town’s central crossroads, and discover something of the history of Warwick, this is your last chance this year!

The Court House Tour will start at 11am in the Pageant Gardens behind the Visitor Information Centre at the junction of Jury Street and Castle Street and will last about 45 minutes. It’s free to attend and there’s no need to book – just turn up in good time. Numbers have to be limited for practical reasons, so it’s a case of first come first served.

Paula and Rick will be waiting to tell a little of the administration of Warwick since Saxon times, and the rebuilding of the town after the Great Fire of 1694, which changed the law governing the construction of town centre buildings across the land.

If you enjoy researching the history of Warwick, and perhaps would like to join our group of tour guides, why not consider joining the Unlocking Warwick volunteers, who stage various community events in the Court House throughout the year?
