Court House Tour 4th August

The next Court House Tour with Unlocking Warwick will be on Saturday 4th August.

Why not come along to hear about the splendid Grade 1 listed building, the history of the administrative buildings on this key site in Jury Street at Warwick’s central crossroads, and its role in the rich history of the county town since its foundation in Saxon times.

The 45-minute tour is free to attend, starting at 11am from the Pageant Gardens behind the Court House. There have not been any courts in the building for nearly 50 years. It is the Town Hall housing the Council Chamber, the refurbished Visitor Information Centre, the Warwickshire Yeomanry Museum and the Regency Ballroom which is used for a range of community and corporate events.

There’s no need to book. Just turn up in good time at the Visitor Information Centre. Volunteer guides Patrick and Paula will be there to greet you. Numbers have to be limited for practical reasons, so first come – first on the tour. It’s a great introduction to Warwick’s past, and helps you to understand the Warwick we see today. 01926 492212
