Court House Tour May 5th

Tour volunteers will try to answer your questions about the history of Warwick

Why not join Unlocking Warwick’s free Court House Tour on Bank Holiday Saturday, May 5th, at 11am?

Volunteer guides will take you on a 45-minute stroll round the inside and outside of the Jury Street Court House/Town Hall, telling the history of the town’s administration, and also some of the key events in Warwick’s past.

The building on this central site held the ‘Petty Sessions’ or Magistrates’ Hearings from the mid 16th Century, though there are no courts in the building now – it houses the Town Council Chamber and Offices, the Visitor Information Centre, the Warwickshire Yeomanry Museum and the restored Regency ballroom.

You don’t need to book, but numbers have to be limited for safety and practical reasons, so it’s a case of first come, first on the tour, assembling in the Visitor Information Centre at 11am. If the weather is very bad, you can check with the Information Centre if the tour is going ahead, by calling 01926 492212.
