Dancing in the Ballroom – Pictures

The first Tea and Dance Lessons of the year took place in the Regency ballroom at the Jury Street Court House on Tuesday 8th January and the get-together was clearly enjoyed enormously by those who took part.

The session started with a Social Foxtrot, followed by a Waltz, then the tempo was raised just a a little with a Tango and a Quickstep. Teachers Chris and Barbara from Majestic Dance explained the steps for those who had little dancing experience and soon everyone was swinging around the floor with confidence.

Ballroom dancing is great exercise, helping your balance, flexibility and posture. Here’s a picture gallery:

The Tea and Dance Lessons are organised by Unlocking Warwick for the Town Council every month. For the rest of this year they will be on the first Tuesday of the month from 2pm – 4pm.

The dance sessions cost just £2.50 to attend including tea or coffee and some fine cake during the interval when there’s plenty of time to chat and make new friends.

There’s no need to book. Just turn up, take a partner and take to the floor.
