December ‘In The Ballroom’ moved by The Election

Carols with the Singwell Community Choir

The December edition of our social gathering ‘In The Ballroom’ – featuring the traditional Christmas Carols and mince pies – was originally scheduled for December 12th. But we’ve been bounced by our members of parliament.

The General Election will be taking place that day, which will make it a busy time for the Town Hall staff; so it’s been decided to switch the date of our monthly social to Wednesday 18th December.

With just a week to go before Christmas Day, the Singwell Community Choir led by Trevor Langley will be performing some of your favourite carols, and with the words projected on to a screen, everyone can join in!

There’s no need to book for ‘In The Ballroom’. Just turn up at the Court House in Jury Street in time for a 2pm start. And feel free to wear your Santa hat or a bit of glitter

Mince pies, stollen and a seasonal quiz

During the interval there will be the usual tea, coffee and cake served by the Unlocking Warwick team of volunteers, with plenty of time to chat. And there are plans for a seasonal quiz. ‘In The Ballroom’ costs just £2 per person.

The next edition will be on Wednesday 13th November, when historian and author Graham Sutherland will be giving an illustrated talk about ‘Warwick Then and Now’, and the quiz will have a historical theme
