First film screening at the Court House a great success!
On Wednesday 4th December the Big Picture Show at the Court House screened Frank Capra’s 1946 classic, ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ to a full house.
Jimmy Stuart plays George Bailey, a compassionate business man in despair who is visited by an angel who shows him the good he is doing, in this hugely popular Christmas fantasy drama.
Warwick based, regional promoters, Live and Local, have teamed up with volunteers and Warwick Town Council to screen a series of six films over six months at the newly refurbished Court House. The next screening will be on Friday the 10th January and will feature ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’, Jim Sharmans 1975 adaptation of Richard O’Briens musical. Tickets are available from the Live and Local Website or the Court House visitor centre.
Staffed by Live and Local, Warwick Town Council and a group of intrepid volunteers, the first film event provided free mince pies and mulled wine to an audience of 80 people which included the Mayor of Warwick, councillor Prahhjit ‘Bob’ Dhillon.
