Games Indoors and Outdoors
The weather was fine for the June session of Ballroom Board Games on Tuesday 27th, so the afternoon began with some competitions in Pageant Garden behind the Court House.
Vintage skittles and quoits were much enjoyed, as were the fruity ‘mocktails’ provided by the volunteers.
Strawberries and cream with tea and cake were then served in the ballroom, followed by games of dominoes.
Not many guests had turned up, but all were extremely enthusiastic about the chance to meet other people and enjoy the atmosphere of friendly competition. They promised to spread the word about the games afternoons held on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 2pm to 4pm.
So if you’d like to come along, or you know someone who would enjoy getting out to play some table-top games and possibly make new friends, reserve a place at the Visitor Information Centre for the next session on 25th July. You can call them on 01926 492212.
The games afternoons are organised by Unlocking Warwick on behalf of Warwick Town Council, and cost just £2 per person to include the refreshments.
