Historic Warwick Walk September 14th
Marking the start of Heritage Open Days, there will be a free Historic Warwick Walk with professional tour guide Paula Fletcher from 10.30am to 12noon on Saturday 14th September.
Starting at the Visitor Information Centre in the Jury Street Court House, Paula will guide you on a leisurely stroll around the most famous buildings in the centre of town, including the medieval Beauchamp Chapel in St. Mary’s, the County Museum in the former covered market, the most elegant Georgian terrace in Warwickshire and Robert Dudley’s Lord Leycester Hospital.
Paula will tell of The Great Fire of Warwick that devastated to town centre in 1694, and she has plenty of anecdotes to bring to life the buildings that survived, and those that rose from the ashes.
There’s no need to book. Just turn up in time for a 10.30am start for the Historic Warwick Walk. Historic Warwick Walk Sept 14th 2019 flyer
