Karen is new Chair

At our March meeting, Karen Parker was unanimously elected as the new Chairperson of the Unlocking Warwick volunteer group. She takes over from Rick Thompson who becomes the Unlocking Warwick Secretary, replacing Fran Godwin who has stepped aside to concentrate his time on an increasing number of community engagement projects for the Town Council. 

Karen says, ‘I’m delighted to be the Chair of the Unlocking Warwick group, because Warwick’s history and heritage has so much to offer to local people and visitors from afar. The restored Court House in Jury Street is a great venue for events that can bring the community together in the very heart of Warwick’.

Karen will continue to coordinate the Unlocking Warwick Court House Tours – free 45-minute introductions to the history of the building and the development of Warwick – for groups of a dozen people. The first tour of the 2016 season will be on Easter Saturday.
