Men – Take Your Partners
This month’s Tea Dance in the Court House ballroom on May 9th, was much enjoyed by those who came along, but there was a visible shortage of men! Are they all reluctant to show off their dancing skills?
The Tea Dances in the ballroom organised by the Town Council are a great opportunity to meet new friends and to learn some ballroom dancing, with careful guidance from professional teacher Chris Clark and his dance partner Barbara. No experience is required.
Dancing keeps you supple, helps your balance and posture, and is a good way of working up an appetite.
During an interval in the dance instruction, there’s tea and some sumptuous cake, prepared and served by some of the Town Councillors.
These two-hour sessions are clearly very enjoyable, and cost only £2.50 to cover the cost of refreshments.
So come along you men. Don’t be shy. Your dance partners await.
The next Tea Dance in the Court House ballroom will be on Tuesday June 13th.
The monthly Tea Dances on a Tuesday afternoon are supported by the Big Lottery “Awards for All” and the local King Henry VIII Endowed Trust.
