‘More People Should Come’

Guests at this month’s Ballroom Board Games on 22nd August said they had a highly enjoyable afternoon, with tea, coffee and chocolate brownies, and all agreed that more people should come to play the games and possibly to make new friends.

One said it was great fun to have someone to play Scrabble with. She had tried playing it online but, ‘It wasn’t the same. I suspect some players had the dictionary to hand!’

Another group played dominoes for a full two hours. A selection of games is available each month, including draughts, chess, cards, Yahtzee, Monopoly and some 500-piece jigsaws.

Ballroom Board Games happens from 2pm to 4pm on the fourth Tuesday of the month in the Jury Street Court House. It costs just £2 per person to include the refreshments. Please book your place at the Visitor Information Centre. 01926 492212 and please bring a friend or two!
