Newcomers enjoyed the dance class
The June edition of Tea and Dance in the Ballroom on 4th had several local guests who had come along for the first time, and they clearly enjoyed getting to grips with the steps of some ballroom classics.
Chris, the professional teacher from Majestic Dance was soon putting everyone through their paces with a gentle social foxtrot (slow, slow, quick-quick, slow) followed by a waltz.
The Tea and Dance Lessons are organised by Unlocking Warwick for the Town Council, and happen every first Tuesday of the month from 2pm to 4pm in the Jury Street Court House. In the interval there’s tea, coffee and cake and plenty of time to chat. The sessions cost just £2.50 per person.
You don’t need any experience, and there’s no need to book. Some gentle dancing is good for balance and posture, and is great fun. So if you know of someone who might enjoy this social afternoon, with some nice ballroom music, please spread the word. The next session will be on Tuesday July 2nd.
