The staircase and ballroom in the Court House have been decked with greenery by the volunteers in preparation for the Regency ball on Saturday 26th November.
Tricia, Ann and Christine have ensured there will be a period Christmas welcome for the guests as they arrive, with laurel, ivy, yew and holly on the bannisters, and traditional swags and fireplace displays in the ballroom. The dancers come from far and wide, and there will be some splendid costumes on display.
This will be the eighth ball to be held in the restored Regency ballroom, and as usual the tickets had sold out within hours of going on sale. The dance caller will be the popular Frances Richardson, and live music will be provided by the local specialist trio, Mr. Sayer’s Players.
