Saturday Court House Tour 25th May

Unlocking Warwick volunteers will be conducting a free tour around the Jury Street Court House during the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend, on Saturday 25th May at 11am.

Hear a brief history of Warwick and its administration on the central site at the main cross roads, and the construction of the present building by ‘Smith of Warwick’ after The Great Fire of 1694 had destroyed most of the centre of the town. It will be a gentle stroll around the building starting in the Pageant Gardens at the back of the Grade-1 listed building, which was reopened five years ago after restoration.

The tour will last about 45 minutes. There’s no need to book. Just turn up at the Visitor Information Centre at 11am where Rick and Sue will be waiting to present a brief history of the County Town.
