The Darker Side of Warwick on 4th January

Graham Sutherland
Graham Sutherland will tell something about the darker side of Warwick

The first social gathering of the new year “In the Ballroom” will be on Thursday 4th January when local historian and author Graham Sutherland will be telling guests about ‘The Darker Side of Warwick’.

Graham is a great raconteur and knows a huge amount about Warwick, its history, its legends and its folklore.

There will also be the usual tea, coffee and fine cakes, and plenty of time to chat.  The get-together “In the Ballroom” happens between 2pm and 4.30pm and costs just £2 per person. There’s no need to book. Just turn up.

If you know someone who might particularly enjoy these monthly gatherings in the ballroom of the Jury Street Court House/Town Hall, suggest they come along. There’s a lift to the ballroom on the first floor.

Tea, coffee, cake and time to chat

In 2018 these monthly gatherings will be held on the first Thursday of every month – easy to remember. On February 1st by popular demand there will be a games afternoon featuring a  beetledrive.

On March 1st the talk will be about the restoration of Guys Cliffe Walled Garden.

“In the Ballroom” is organised by Unlocking Warwick on behalf of Warwick Town Council, with support from the Big Lottery ‘Awards for All’ and The King Henry VIII Endowed Trust.
