To Warwick from Far and Wide

On Saturday 20th July, our Court House Tour attracted visitors to Warwick from far and wide, some who intended to attend the Beer and Cider Festival in the Pageant Gardens later in the day.

Some of the guests came from southern England – Southampton and London, and others were visiting the UK from Italy. There are always plenty of visitors to historic Warwick from overseas.

Unlocking Warwick’s Paula Fletcher told the story of Warwick’s origins more than eleven hundred years ago, the creation of a Corporation in Henry VIII’s time, and the building of the present Court House/Town Hall during the reconstruction of the town after the Great Fire of 1694.

The next Court House Tour will be on Saturday 3rd August from 11am -11.45am. The tours are free and there’s no need to book. Just turn up at the Visitor Information Centre in Jury Street.
