Change to the 50s on April 27th

Graham Sutherland
Graham Sutherland will look back at the 50s in the ballroom on Thursday 27th April.

This Thursday, April 27th, from 2pm to 4.30pm, the informal social club “In the Ballroom” was due to hear about the boxing Turpin brothers, but there’s been a late change of plan.

Instead, local historian and author Graham Sutherland will give a talk entitled “Drainpipe Trousers to Rock ‘n Roll – a look at local life in the 1950s”.

Graham is always entertaining as well as informative, so come along and enjoy the talk with tea or coffee, some nice cakes and good company.

“In the Ballroom” at the Jury Street Court House is a drop in afternoon – there’s no need to book. It costs just £2 to cover the cost of refreshments.
