A New Town Mayor – Unlocking Warwick

At the mayor-making ceremony in St. Mary’s Church on 22nd May, Cllr. Jackie D’Arcy was elected as the town’s mayor for the next 12 months.

She takes over from Cllr. Dave Skinner who was thanked profusely for all the events he has attended, supporting and encouraging local schools, businesses, charities and youth organisations.

The ceremony, attended by members of the Court Leet and visiting dignitaries from neighbouring boroughs, began with a full council meeting, and ended with the enrobing of Cllr D’Arcy. The new deputy mayor is Cllr. Simon Pargeter.
