A Nostalgic Christmas – Unlocking Warwick

The December session of our monthly tea, talk and quiz afternoons called ‘In The Ballroom’ had a nostalgic seasonal theme, with guests sharing their memories of Christmases past.

Trevor and Lindsey Langley provided popular Christmas music from years gone by – including classics from Dean Martin, Elvis Presley, Andy Williams and of course Bing Crosby, and the guests were encouraged to join in.

Helen’s last picture quiz of 2025 was, of course, Christmas-themed, and the tea included mince pies, stollen and chocolate bites.

Many guests took the time to thank the Unlocking Warwick volunteers for arranging excellent speakers throughout the year, and providing a ‘lovely’ afternoon of friendly chat. One said she looks forward to the second Wednesday of every month and enjoys ‘In The Ballroom’ enormously.

As in past years, In The Ballroom will take a break during the dark days of January and February, but will return on the second Wednesdays at 2pm from March 11th. The programme of speakers is now on the website.
