Tea and Dance Lessons 2018

Tea dancing in the ballroom
The Regency Ballroom is a lovely venue

Warwick Town Council has decided to continue with the monthly tea and dance afternoons in the Court House ballroom through 2018.

Instead of being called ‘Tea Dances’ they will be known as ‘Tea and Dance Lessons’ which more accurately describes what happens.

It’s a social gathering suitable for beginners. Professional dance instructors Chris, Greta and Barbara from Majestic Dance lead guests through the basic steps of ballroom classics such as the waltz, quickstep, foxtrot and square tango. You don’t need to have a dance partner. Just team up with someone else when you’re there.

The afternoon has a break for tea, coffee and some excellent cake served by Town Councillors and volunteers from Unlocking Warwick.

It’s a chance to chat and make new friends. And dancing is very good for your balance, posture and flexibility.

All dates are Tuesday afternoons, 2pm until 4pm, and the Tea and Dance Lessons cost just £2.50. There’s no need to book. Just turn up. Here are the dates for 2018:

January 9th –  February 13th –  March 13th –  April 10th –  May 8th –  June 12th –  July 10th –  August 14th –  September 11th –  October 9th –  November 13th –  and December 11th.

The last Tea Dance of this year, 2017, will be on Tuesday December 12th.

‘Tea and Dance Lessons in the Ballroom’ is organised by Warwick Town Council together with Unlocking Warwick, Big Lottery ‘Awards for All’ and the King Henry VIII Endowed Trust.
